2021-22 EPL Week 36 Tips

Following an incredible week of Champions League action, attention now turns to the dying embers of the Premier League campaign. With Liverpool progressing and Manchester City crashing out both sides now know they are locked in a battle to get over the line first domestically. City are in the driving seat, with Liverpool just a point behind, whilst Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham continue to scrap for a top 4 finish. At the bottom, Everton, Burnley, and Leeds are all in the mix to go down, with only one heading into the Championship at the end of the campaign.

Here are our picks for the next round of fixtures in the EPL:

Brentford vs Southampton – Brentford Community Stadium

Brentford ($2.25)

Southampton ($3.5)

Draw ($3.6)

Two sides that have secured their Premier League status this season do battle as Brentford welcome Southampton. The Bees have been a breath of fresh air in the Premier League this season and they look to have the makings of a side capable of recruiting and kicking on next season. Southampton meanwhile have huffed and puffed this term, lacking consistency at times but they have enjoyed some excellent results and have never been in the relegation picture. There is very little to split these sides, suggesting a draw could be on the cards.

Betting tip: The match to finish as a draw ($3.6) Bet @ Picklebet

1-1 Draw

Burnley vs Aston Villa – Turf Moor

Burnley ($3.1)

Aston Villa ($2.46)

Draw ($3.4)

Burnley will be looking to take a significant step towards Premier League safety, as they host Aston Villa. The Clarets have improved massively in recent weeks under Mike Jackson and now have survival well within their grasp, but they know they will be at their best here. They take on a Villa side who don’t have anything to play for other than pride, but Steven Gerrard is a proud man, and he will want his side to put in a good performance here. By virtue of having more to play for, Burnley could well come out on top here.

Betting tip: Burnley to win the match ($3.1) Bet @ Picklebet

Burnley to win 2-1

Chelsea vs Wolves – Stamford Bridge

Chelsea ($1.38)

Wolves ($11)

Draw ($5.25)

Chelsea will be looking to find some form before the FA Cup Final, as they take on Wolves. The blues have really slipped off the pace in the Premier League and now need to keep winning games to completely assure themselves of a top 4 finish. Wolves meanwhile do look to have checked out somewhat this season and are very much playing for position in the table. That should play into Chelsea’s hands and the blues should win well here.

Betting tip: Chelsea to win the match ($1.38) Bet @ Picklebet

Chelsea to win 3-0

Crystal Palace vs Watford – Selhurst Park

Crystal Palace ($1.73)

Watford ($5.6)

Draw ($4)

Roy Hodgson will be looking to inspire his Watford side to the most incredible of escapes, as he and the Hornets travel to his former club Crystal Palace. The Eagles are a well drilled side under Patrick Vieira, and they have come on leaps and bounds this season under his stewardship. Watford meanwhile aren’t mathematically down as yet but anything other than a win here will confine them back to the Championship. This should be an entertaining game, with Palace most likely to prevail in front of their home fans.

Betting tip: Crystal Palace to win the match ($1.73) Bet @ Picklebet

Crystal Palace to win 2-0

Brighton vs Manchester United – AMEX Stadium

Brighton ($2.9)

Manchester United ($2.6)

Draw ($3.6)

Manchester United will be hoping to finish the season as positively as possible, as they take on Brighton. Hosts Brighton have enjoyed a good season under Graham Potter and with some more shrewd moves in the summer, they will be targeting a top 10 finish again next season. Manchester United meanwhile have been abject at times this season, struggling for form and momentum and they look set to miss out on the Champions League places once more. This should be an entertaining one, with United’s quality in key areas potentially deciding the outcome of the game.

Betting tip: Manchester United to win the match ($2.6) Bet @ Picklebet

Manchester United to win 2-1

Liverpool vs Tottenham – Anfield

Liverpool ($1.46)

Tottenham ($7.5)

Draw ($5.1)

Liverpool will be hoping to keep the pressure up on Manchester City as they host Tottenham. An unprecedented quadruple is what Liverpool are chasing this season and with the final of the Champions League secured this week, it would take a brave person to bet against Jurgen Klopp’s side. Tottenham meanwhile have huffed and puffed this season, but they have plenty to play for under Antonio Conte, with a top 4 place still very much within their grasp. This will be closer than people expect but Liverpool should sneak over the line on Saturday night.

Betting tip: Liverpool to win the match ($1.46) Bet @ Picklebet

Liverpool to win 2-1

Arsenal vs Leeds United – Emirates Stadium

Arsenal ($1.47)

Leeds United ($7.2)

Draw ($5.1)

Top 4 chasing Arsenal will be looking to keep their fate in their own hands, as they take on Leeds. The Gunners have shown steady signs of improvement under Mikel Arteta this season and finishing in the top 4 would be a serious sign of progression in North London. Leeds meanwhile, are far from safe themselves, with both Burnley and Everton breathing down their necks and they will be all too aware of the need for points here. Arsenal should be bang up for this one though and they should get the job done.

Betting tip: Arsenal to win the match ($1.47) Bet @ Picklebet

Arsenal to win 3-1

Leicester City vs Everton – King Power Stadium

Leicester City ($2.64)

Everton ($2.9)

Draw ($3.4)

Leicester City will be hoping to finish the season strongly, as they take on a struggling Everton side. The Foxes are still in with a shout in the Europa Conference League and despite a poor domestic campaign, Brendan Rodgers has plenty to build on this term. Everton meanwhile need points to avoid dropping into the Championship, a phrase scarcely believable at the start of the campaign. This will be a real hum-dinger but with Everton needing points, they could well get some here.

Betting tip: Everton to win the match ($2.9) Bet @ Picklebet

Everton to win 2-1

Norwich City vs West Ham United – Carrow Road

Norwich City ($4.75)

West Ham United ($1.83)

Draw ($3.9)

Already relegated Norwich City will be looking to salvage some pride this season as they take on West Ham. The Canaries have ultimately fallen short this season but have enjoyed some good moments, especially at Carrow Road and they should be up for this test here. West Ham meanwhile have the small matter of Europa League commitments in midweek, which could affect their team selection here, but they are still an experienced and high quality side and West Ham should prevail on the road here.

Betting tip: West Ham United to win the match ($1.83) Bet @ Picklebet

West Ham United to win 3-0

Manchester City vs Newcastle United – Etihad Stadium

Manchester City ($1.2)

Newcastle United ($18)

Draw ($8.2)

Premier League leaders Manchester City will be hoping to keep their slender advantage over Liverpool intact, as they take on Newcastle United. City bumped out of the Champions League in dramatic fashion in midweek, but they are still in control domestically and they need to respond here. Newcastle meanwhile have been vastly improved under Eddie Howe over the past few months and have troubled plenty of sides and they can’t be discarded here. City are generally well oiled at home though and they should pick up all three points.

Betting tip: Manchester City to win the match ($1.2) Bet @ Picklebet

Manchester City to win 2-0
