We have expert betting tips for AFL Round 11, which kicks off on Friday with the Sydney Swans vs Richmond Tigers.
AFL action continues with an excellent selection of games this week, including Melbourne vs Fremantle and Suns vs Hawks.

7:50pm Sydney Swans vs Richmond Tigers @ SCG
The Sydney Swans were handled by Carlton last week but they have been well-backed to beat the Richmond Tigers.
Despite the Tigers coming off a solid win over Essendon, the Swans are expected to get back to their best and we’re following the money.
They are the –10.5 in betting markets and we’re putting that on our tickets to start the week.
Betting tip: Sydney Swans –10.5 @ $1.90 Bet @ PlayUp
Swans by 16
1:45pm Brisbane Lions vs GWS Giants @ Gabba
It was a shock loss for the Brisbane Lions last week but we fancy their chances of getting back to business against the Giants.
The Lions lost to the Hawthorn Hawks 117-112 in a tight affair. It wasn’t their finest hour but it showed that there is no room for slipping up.
GWS was good against West Coast but given the difference in opposition this week, it should struggle to better the Lions at The Gabba.
Betting tip: Brisbane Lions –32.5 @ $1.90 Bet @ PlayUp
Lions by 36
1:45pm Geelong Cats vs Adelaide Crows @ GMBHA Stadium
The Geelong Cats are heavily favoured to beat the Adelaide Crows and it should be a one-way result.
However, the Crows are getting +41.5 points and that’s a lot to get, so we’re considering backing the Crows to cover the spread.
They were beaten by the Saints last week but we weren’t overly impressed by the Cats, so the Crows could keep it close.
Betting tip: Adelaide Crows +41.5 @ $1.90 Bet @ PlayUp
Cats by 33
4:35pm Melbourne Demons vs Fremantle Dockers @ MCG
Melbourne continues to go about its business without much trouble and we don’t see the Dockers getting in their way.
Fremantle scored only 44 points against the Magpies last week, so it would be a big turnaround to see them get close against the Demons.
The current spread is 26.5 points and we see Melbourne getting the job done.
Betting tip: Melbourne Demons –26.5 @ $1.90 Bet @ PlayUp
Demons by 34
7:30pm West Coast Eagles vs Western Bulldogs @ Optus Stadium
The Western Bulldogs are one of the more dominant favourites of Round 11 after beating the Suns by 19 points last week.
It was a much better showing than the West Coast Eagles, who continue to struggle after losing to the Giants 138-86.
The Bulldogs should put away the Eagles with ease and score an emphatic victory to cover the spread.
Betting tip: Western Bulldogs –40.5 @ $1.90 Bet @ PlayUp
Bulldogs by 49
7:40pm Gold Coast Suns vs Hawthorn Hawks @ TIO Stadium
There has been a lot of respect for the Gold Coast Suns at home and we think they can justify the favoritism.
They might have been beaten by the Bulldogs last week but it was a strong showing. They can get the better of the Hawks, who might not have come down from the high of beating the Brisbane Lions.
We’re happy to take the $1.77 available.
Betting tip: Gold Coast Suns @ $1.77 Bet @ PlayUp
Suns by 10
1:10pm St Kilda Saints vs North Melbourne Kangaroos @ Marvel Stadium
Punters have to deal with another one-sided betting line as the Saints are likely to hammer the struggling North Melbourne Kangaroos.
The cue has been put in the rack for the Kangaroos, but are they good enough to cover the 46.5 spread?
It should be an easy win for the Saints, who will be at their attacking best and they’ll get plenty of opportunities against the Roos.
Betting tip: St Kilda Saints –46.5 @ $1.90 Bet @ PlayUp
Saints by 60
3:20pm Collingwood Magpies vs Carlton Blues @ MCG
We’re confident with the Carlton Blues, who are putting it all together in 2022 and we’re all for it.
Carlton has been promising to have a successful season for some time, and despite the Magpies coming off an impressive win, consistency isn’t their forte.
The head-to-head line is $1.46 for the Blues and we think they can cover the –13.5 spread, in what could be a statement win for the visitors.
Betting tip: Carlton Blues –13.5 @ $1.90 Bet @ PlayUp
Blues by 22
4:40pm Port Adelaide Power vs Essendon Bombers @ Adelaide Oval
The Port Adelaide Power are always tough to beat at home and they should have no problem getting the better of Essendon.
The Bombers suffered an 80-48 loss to the Tigers last week, and although the Power were only average against Geelong, they should bounce back.
Take Port Adelaide –34.5, which is a generous line.
Betting tip: Port Adelaide Power –34.5 @ $1.90 Bet @ PlayUp
Power by 40
