2021-22 A-League Week 25 Tips, Predictions & Betting Odds

The A-League table looks as open as it ever has been, with just a handful of games to go in the regular season and there will be plenty of sides jostling for position before the campaign is done. Melbourne City are the side to catch at the top of the table but Western United are coming on strong behind them, with Melbourne Victory not too far behind either. Perth Glory are all but done at the bottom of the pack, whilst it has been a disappointing campaign for Brisbane Roar and Western Sydney Wanderers too, who will both be looking to salvage some pride over the next few weeks.

Here are our picks for the next round of fixtures in the A-League:

Macarthur FC vs Melbourne Victory – Campbelltown Sports Stadium

Macarthur FC ($3.9)

Melbourne Victory ($1.98)

Draw ($4)

Two teams that should be in the play-off picture at the end of the season face off as Macarthur FC take on Melbourne Victory. The hosts currently sit 6th in the table, knowing full well that they have their fate in their own hands and they will be keen to cash in on home advantage here. Melbourne Victory meanwhile are flying high in 3rd, and they have dumbfounded a few critics this term to end up in the play-off shake up. This should be a good game, with both sides needing points and a stalemate could be on the cards.

Betting tip: The match to finish as a draw ($4) – Bet @ Neds

2-2 Draw

Newcastle Jets vs Central Coast Mariners – McDonald Jones Stadium

Newcastle Jets ($2,45)

Central Coast Mariners ($3)

Draw ($3.65)

9th take on 8th in a New South Wales Derby that could have a big impact on both sides respective seasons. The Jets have been much improved in the last few weeks and were edged out in the dying embers by Melbourne Victory last weekend but are still in the play-off picture. Similarly, Central Coast Mariners are sat 8th, still within a shot of ending up in the play-off places but they know full well they need to start winning more games. There is very little to split these sides on paper or in the table and a draw looks the most likely outcome.

Betting tip: The match to finish as a draw ($3.65) – Bet @ Neds

1-1 Draw

Wellington Phoenix vs Western Sydney Wanderers – Wellington Regional Stadium

Wellington Phoenix ($2.3)

WSW ($3.2)

Draw ($3.7)

Wellington Phoenix will be looking to make the most of home advantage as they take on Western Sydney Wanderers in New Zealand. A resurgence in recent weeks has seen Phoenix climb up to 5th in the A-League table, marking a real transformation in their fortunes and they will be desperate to cling onto their play-off status here. Western Sydney Wanderers meanwhile have endured a tough campaign and are struggling down in 10th, with just the faintest outside shot of making a play-off place this term. Phoenix are a side in good form, and they should pick up an important home win here.

Betting tip: Wellington Phoenix to win the match ($2.3) – Bet @ Neds

Wellington Phoenix to win 2-1

Adelaide United vs Perth Glory – Hindmarsh Stadium

Adelaide United ($1.4)

Perth Glory ($8.5)

Draw ($5)

4th placed Adelaide United will be looking to all-but clinch their play-off status as they take on Perth Glory. United are a side that have enjoyed a good season and they will be hopeful that a run into the play-offs could be the catalyst for even greater achievements this term. Perth Glory meanwhile are fielding a youthful side as they look to build for next year, after a season to forget for all involved with the club. Glory are primed for the wooden spoon and Adelaide should add salt to their wounds here.

Betting tip: Adelaide United to win the match ($1.4) – Bet @ Neds

Adelaide United to win 3-0

Brisbane Roar vs Melbourne Victory – Moreton Daily Stadium

Brisbane Roar ($3)

Melbourne Victory ($2.43)

Draw ($3.6)

Brisbane Roar will be looking to dent Melbourne Victory’s surge up the table as the two sides meet on the Gold Coast. Roar have been out of sorts really this season, which is reflected by their league standing of 11th and they look to be building for next term already. Melbourne Victory meanwhile are a side that have silenced plenty of doubters this term and they look set to achieve at least a play-off place this season. Victory have been in excellent form of late and look overpriced to win on the road at Brisbane here.

Betting tip: Melbourne Victory to win the match ($2.43) – Bet @ Neds

Melbourne Victory to win 2-0
