Friday 11/03/22

5:05pm Blues vs Highlanders @ North Harbour Stadium

The Blues escaped with a win over the Chiefs last week thanks to a late missed penalty, so they could easily by 2-0 and 0-2.

Making things worse is the serious injury to Roger Tuivasa-Sheck, so they’ll be down a man in the midfield and it could have an impact on the result of this game.

The Highlanders have been anything but good so far, but they’re due a better performance and punters get a good line.

They get +10.5 points, which is too good to pass up.

Betting tip: Highlanders +10.5 @ $1.90 – Bet @ Sportsbet

7:45pm Rebels vs Brumbies @ Melbourne Stadium

Punters are having a tough time buying into the Rebels and we don’t blame them. Not only did they score eight points from their first two games, but they lost to the Drua last week.

It was a dreadful performance and we’re not sure where the Rebels go from here. It will be a long season and the Brumbies will make them pay.

Bookmakers have the line at 17.5, which seems high, but given how easily the Rebels have been losing, the Brumbies should win by a comfortable margin.

Betting tip: Brumbies –17.5 @ $1.90 – Bet @ Sportsbet

2:35pm Hurricanes vs Moana Pasifika @ Wellington Stadium

Moana Pasifika put up a fight against the Crusaders last week, but ultimately, they lost 33-12.

They’ll go through some growing pains in the early stages of the Super Rugby competition and we don’t think it’ll get any better against the Hurricanes.

The ‘Canes have been good with a 2-1 record, which included an amazing comeback victory over the Blues two weeks ago.

Punters have to take a –23.5 line, but the Pasifika should be outclassed.

Betting tip: Hurricanes –23.5 @ $1.90 – Bet @ Sportsbet

5:05pm Crusaders vs Chiefs @ Orangetheory Stadium

The Crusaders are showing why they’re favoured to win Super Rugby and we can’t see the Chiefs stopping them.

We felt bad for the Chiefs last week, who played well enough to beat the Blues, but a late missed penalty sealed their fate.

We think bookmakers are being generous with the –7.5 spread, which favours the Crusaders. They should be far too classy for the Chiefs and score a comfortable double-digit win.

Betting tip: Crusaders –7.5 @ $1.90 – Bet @ Sportsbet

7:45pm Reds vs Drua @ Suncorp Stadium

The Drua scored their first Super Rugby win with a come-from-behind effort against the Rebels last week.

It should give them plenty of confidence going forward, but they will need to measure up against the best Australian team in the competition.

The Reds are playing well and they’re living up to our expectations, but covering a 24.5-point spread might be beyond them.

It should be a closer game than expected and we’re taking the visitors to produce the goods.

Betting tip: Fijian Drua +24.5 @ $1.90 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Sunday 13/03/22

2:00pm Waratahs vs Force @ Leichhardt Oval

The Force have been solid to date and they could test the Waratahs at a value price.

There isn’t much between the Force and the Waratahs, so we can’t take the Waratahs at the $1.59 price.

We’d prefer to take the $2.32 for the Force and ride the underdog, in what could be tough conditions in Sydney.

Betting tip: Force @ $2.32 – Bet @ Sportsbet
