Australasian Oaks Form Guide & Tips

2. Barb Raider ($14) Bet @ Neds

Barb Raider is a quality type on her day but she needs to bounce back from a disappointing effort at Randwick.

Conditions are better here and we can’t leave her out of selections.

3. Daisies (Best Each Way – $8.50) Bet @ Neds

Daisies did enough last start when third at Morphettville to warrant attention at the each-way odds.

She has form behind some smart types and she has time to find cover from the wide, but we’re liking the $8.50 available.

4. Bon’s a Pearla ($9.50) Bet @ Neds

Bon’s a Pearla is getting close to breaking through after three consecutive placings and she gets every chance from the draw.

Rising in distance shouldn’t do her chances any harm and she goes into first-four calculations.

5. Douceur ($13) Bet @ Neds

Her is good enough to win at Group 1 level following its third placing behind Daisies at Moonee Valley two back.

She pulled up lame last time out and that run should be overlooked. Luck is needed but she’s worth including at the odds.

6. My Whisper (Best Bet – $4.50) Bet @ Neds

My Whisper is shooting for five consecutive wins and the daughter of Frankel won the major lead-up race.

That form stacks up nicely and punters still get each-way odds, so they’re worth taking and she looks like a nice stayer in the making.

7. Mac ‘n’ Cheese ($11) Bet @ Neds

There is ability with Mac ‘n’ Cheese after winning twice already this season. She battled on gamely last start and she’s another solid chance.

We wouldn’t be surprised if her odds were shorter on race day.

8. Mamounia (Best Roughie – $16) Bet @ Neds

She is another two-time winner this preparation and she would be much shorter had she drawn a barrier.

Punters shouldn’t be deterred and we see her being competitive at generous odds.

9. Fortunate Kiss ($23) Bet @ Neds

There isn’t much wrong with her form but she will need to find a length to be winning at this level.

She has upside but there are better betting chances.

10. Glint of Hope ($11) Bet @ Neds

Glint of Hope hasn’t done much wrong throughout her career and she has to be considered from the barrier draw.

Her effort at Caulfield was a solid lead-in run and we can’t leave her out of selections.

11. Lady Chant ($51) Bet @ Neds

She’s still in her first preparation and she might be looking for the paddock. It would be a big effort to rise to this occasion.

12. Ancient Girl ($41) Bet @ Neds

She looked to have ability earlier this preparation but we haven’t been impressed with her recent efforts.

Getting the inside draw is ideal, but we can’t any more positives.

13. Pretty Amazing ($21) Bet @ Neds

Chris Waller has a decent opinion of Pretty Amazing, but she didn’t fire last start and that’s a concern.

Conditions weren’t ideal and she got too far back, but she would have been shorter in betting markets if she was a genuine chance.

14. So You See ($13) Bet @ Neds

There has been specking for So You See, who has been around the mark throughout her campaign.

She looked good winning on debut but this is a rise in class and she could struggle to show her best.

15. Stray ($46) Bet @ Neds

With only one win from 10 starts, we can’t have Stray in our selections and we thought her odds would be longer.

16. Morrissette ($46) Bet @ Neds

Morrissette is in a similar boat to Stray and we can’t find room for her in our selections.

She is better suited to something a little easier than the Australasian Oaks.

17. Bundle of Fun ($19) Bet @ Neds

Her win in Tasmania was solid and she was just behind them at Caulfield last time out.

It’s solid form and she has been specked at a price, so we wouldn’t rule out her chances of crossing the line first.

18. Roots ($26) Bet @ Neds

Getting back to a firmer track could help Roots, but she is a tough type to follow and we’re prepared to leave her out.

19. The Map ($91) Bet @ Neds

Unlikely to run and unlikely to win if she gets her chance.

20. Blackcomb ($91) Bet @ Neds

Another runner unlikely to get a start.
