2022 The Memorial – Golf Betting Tips & Predictions

We have expert betting tips for the 2022 Memorial Championship, which is played at Muirfield this week.

The Memorial is one of the biggest PGA Tour tournaments of the year and it’s headlined by the likes of Jon Rahm, Rory McIlroy, and Patrick Cantlay.

There is excellent value with bookmakers, so we look at the best picks for the 2022 Memorial Tournament.

Tried our top rated bookmakers?

2022 Memorial Tournament Best Bet – Rory McIlroy</h2>

Rory McIlroy is seeking his first win in 2022 and he has been teasing punters with a winning result.

The Northern Irishman failed to take full advantage of the easier conditions at the PGA Championship, but he still recorded yet another top 10 finish.

Despite having not won a major since 2014, McIlroy is getting close to posting a big win and The Memorial Tournament could be his chance to showcase his best golf.

He has no problems getting off to fast starts, but his weekend play has been sub-par. However, we’re prepared to stick with him until he wins.

Bookmakers have McIlroy on the first line of betting at $11, tied with Jon Rahm. He is also being well-backed in U.S. Open markets later this month, so there is plenty of confidence around for the quality player.

Bet: Rory McIlroy @ $11 Bet @ Ladbrokes

2022 Memorial Tournament Best Value – Patrick Cantlay

Patrick Cantlay might not be in the best form of his career but he’s a two-time winner of The Memorial.

He is also the defending FedEx Cup champion, so class should shine through sooner rather than later, despite him missing the cut at the PGA Championship.

Golf can often be a horses-for-courses sport, so he loves Muirfield and he shot –19 to win in 2019, so he can post a low total this week.

Muirfield is a course that suits different players and Cantlay is one of them. He’s paying $17 to get back into a winning groove and we can’t turn down those odds.

Bet: Patrick Cantlay @ $17 Bet @ Ladbrokes

2022 Memorial Tournament Long Shot – Matthew Fitzpatrick

Matthew Fitzpatrick isn’t the most gifted player on the PGA Tour but the 2013 U.S. Amateur winner isn’t far off a win.

The English golfer played extremely well at the PGA Championship and his meticulous way of going around the course should pay off soon.

He takes notes on every shot he plays, and despite admitting that he’s not the most physical or gifted player on the tour, he thinks his way around the course.

That should suit around Muirfield and after posting a T5 result at Southern Hills two weeks ago, his confidence levels should be rising.

Punters get $26 for Fitzpatrick to win, so he’s worth having on your ticket.

Bet: Matthew Fitzpatrick @ $26 Bet @ Ladbrokes

Memorial Tournament Leader After Round 1 – Cameron Smith

The Australian can get off to a hot start at The Memorial and his current odds makes it worth the risk.

Cameron Smith is currently paying $29 to lead the field after the first round, and although it’s a tough option to correctly predict, the odds are worth taking.

Smith has been playing excellent golf this season and he comes off a T13 at the PGA, so he’s hitting the ball well and we’re in his camp.

Bet: Cameron Smith @ $29 Bet @ Ladbrokes

2022 Memorial Tournament Big Guns vs the Field

Bookmakers have listed four players as the Big Guns and we think one of them can get it done.

It consists of Jon Rahm, Patrick Cantlay, Cameron Smith, and Rory McIlroy, so three of the four players we have highlighted in our preview.

Punters get $4.10 for the Big Guns and we think there is more value in that option, as opposed to taking the field at $1.20.

Bet: Big Guns @ $4.10 Bet @ Ladbrokes
