Ascot horse racing tips

Race 1. (14:48) Tabtouch Platinum Handicap (1200m)

#2 – Alien From Mars – Bet @ Sportsbet

The six-year-old mare is never too far away from the prize and some of her best form comes at Ascot.

She owns a win and four placings on the track and there aren’t too many quality types in this field, so she could take advantage.

Betting markets will be a good form guide.

Race 2. (15:28) Crown Perth Plate (1200m)

#4 – Demolish – Bet @ Sportsbet

The two-year-old gelding by Rich Enuff hit the line nicely on debut before being spelled, which is usually a good sign.

He has since placed in a recent trial at Belmont Park and with a 1.5kg claimer on his back, he should be tough to beat.

Barrier nine isn’t ideal but he must be entered in calculations.

Race 3. (16:08) Vale Rob Harvey BM78 (1000m)

#1 – Panzdown – Bet @ Sportsbet

Panzdown owns six wins and four placings from 13 starts, so he’s a professional type that should be tough to beat.

The four-year-old son of Panzer Division scored by 1.8 lengths last time out and he’s capable of going back-to-back.

With four wins at Ascot, he should be right in the mix.

Race 4. (16:48) Intl Women’s Day 1MW (1000m)

#6 – State of Power – Bet @ Sportsbet

State of Power scored by a narrow margin two back and she hit the line impressively last time out.

The three-year-old daughter of Dream Ahead won both career starts over this distance and she looks well-placed for this grade.

Carrying 54.5kg is ideal and punters could get each-way odds.

Race 5. (17:24) Schweppes J.C. Roberts Stakes (1800m)

#1 – Trix of the Trade @ $1.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Punters have to take short odds for Trix of the Trade, but he’s easily the best horse in the race.

The three-year-old by Trade Fair owns seven wins from eight starts and he is unbeaten in all three starts at Ascot.

He’s a slick customer that demands respect, so include the $1.60 in multi bets.

Race 6. (18:00) Natasha Stakes (2200m)

#1 – Constant Dreaming @ $2.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Constant Dreaming was too good for them when scoring by 1.8 lengths last start and she is a nice type in the making.

The daughter of Blackfriars showed a superior turn-of-foot and that’s handy to have at this level, so punters shouldn’t leave her out.

She’s in good hands and the $2.80 is worth snapping up.

Race 7. (18:37) Passages BM66 (2100m)

#6 – Chiclett – Bet @ Sportsbet

Chiclett is a three-time winner already this preparation and we’re backing her to win another.

The four-year-old mare comes off a 2.3-length win against easier company, but she finished second at Ascot two starts back.

We expect each-way odds from bookmakers.

Race 8. (19:12) Ramelius Resources BM66 (2100m)

#6 – Tri For Us – Bet @ Sportsbet

Tri For Us is gunning for three on the bounce after winning at Albany and Ascot, so she’s a runner in form.

The four-year-old mare owns five wins and seven placings from 15 starts, so the form checks out and some of her best efforts have come at Ascot.

Barrier three is ideal, so she goes on top.

Race 9. (19:47) Vinnies & Rotary Club BM72 (1400m)

#3 – Cristal Dane – Bet @ Sportsbet

Cristal Dane has looked good winning her last two starts at Ascot and she can win again on Saturday.

The six-year-old won by 2.3 lengths last time out and she shouldn’t find this field too much harder.

Her confidence levels are up and getting 2kg off her back brings her into contention.

Race 10. (20:28) Neometals BM66 (1200m)

#5 – Sassy Trader – Bet @ Sportsbet

Sassy Trader produced an improved run last time out and we expect him to be winning soon.

The four-year-old has finished in the money in half of his starts at Ascot and this field is there for the taking.

Getting the inside draw is ideal and punters could get each-way odds.
