Belmont horse racing tips

Race 1. (14:33) Free Entry to Belmont Park (1400m)

#2 – Rejuva King – Bet @ Bet365

Rejuva King capped off solid form with a win at Belmont and he could go back-to-back.

The three-year-old won by a nose at big odds but he’ll be at much shorter odds this time around.

Watch for any market moves and follow the money accordingly.

Race 2. (15:13) Tabtouch Westspeed Handicap (1200m)

#5 – Keep Attacking – Bet @ Bet365

Keep Attacking hasn’t done much wrong throughout his career, including two wins and a second placing from four attempts.

The four-year-old son of Snippetson won at Belmont two back before finishing second on this track last time out.

We expect him to be right around the mark again.

Race 3. (15:53) Bowls a Sport For Life BM72 (1200m)

#1 – Mood Swings – Bet @ Bet365

The six-year-old hasn’t won from two starts this preparation but it’s only a matter of time before he wins.

He is a five-time winner and 10-time placegetter from 27 starts, so the consistency is there and getting 2kg off his back is ideal.

Punters could get each-way odds on race day.

Race 4. (16:29) Love the Bowlo Handicap (1000m)

#1 – Double Jeopardy – Bet @ Bet365

Double Jeopardy isn’t getting any younger but the eight-year-old could go back-to-back.

The son of Exceed and Excel won by 1.5 lengths at Northam and he’s another runner with a 2kg claimer in the saddle.

We’re prepared to stick with him at value odds.

Race 5. (17:05) K Krstic Grabs Gold BM72 (2000m)

#5 – Our Norman – Bet @ Bet365

Our Norman paid a good price to win at Belmont last start and he has every chance to win again.

The five-year-old son of Trade Fair runs well on the track and getting in with 54.5kg on his back brings him into contention.

There’s not much to this field and he could take advantage.

Race 6. (17:40) The Professionals 1MW (1200m)

#7 – Alsephina – Bet @ Bet365

Alsephina owns two wins from three starts, and although her only defeat came at Belmont, she can get back to winning form.

The mare by Star Turn won at Ascot to start her career and she looks like a nice type for the future, so she’s worth sticking with.

Bookmakers are likely to have her at short odds.

Race 7. (18:15) Afgri Equipment BM66 (1400m)

#8 – Advanced – Bet @ Bet365

Advanced won fresh up last preparation and he could do the same again on Saturday.

The four-year-old son of Playing God has yet to win from two attempts at Belmont but getting the inside draw with a light weight has its advantages.

The wet conditions won’t do his chances any harm.

Race 8. (18:50) Amelia Park Blue Spec BM82 (1600m)

#8 – Savage One – Bet @ Bet365

Savage One is in career-best form with three wins and three second placings from his last six starts.

The underrated five-year-old owns seven wins and nine placings from 18 starts, so he has missed the money only twice.

We’re not overlooking his chances, so put him on top.

Race 9. (19:25) BPL Perth Suns 1MW (1600m)

#5 – Canny Jack – Bet @ Bet365

Canny Jack loved the heavy conditions when winning last start and the four-time winner at Belmont is our top pick.

The four-year-old son of Galah gets the inside draw and we don’t think he’ll be paying around $6.50 this time around.

Expect shorter odds in an open event.
