Randwick horse racing tips
Race 1. (11:40) Grainshaker Vodka Fernhill (1600m)
#1 – Williamsburg @ $2.60 – Bet @ Neds
Williamsburg relished the heavy conditions at Rosehill last start and it shouldn’t be much different at Randwick.
The two-year-old colt held off Moko to record his second victory from four starts and he could continue his winning ways.
Punters have climbed into his opening odds and the money should continue to come.
Race 2. (12:15) Bisley Workwear South Pacific (1400m)
#11 – Green Belt @ $8.50 – Bet @ Neds
Punters get value odds for an unbeaten runner who paid $1.70 to win at Sandown last time out.
The American-bred colt hasn’t raced in heavy conditions, but the son of Declaration of War looks to have plenty of ability.
We’re happy with the $8.50 available and those odds could firm on race day.
Race 3. (12:50) Polytrack Provincial Midway Final (1400m)
#2 – Never Talk @ $3.70 – Bet @ Neds
Never Talk relishes the heavy track conditions and that was evident when winning at Newcastle by 3.3 lengths last start.
The four-year-old daughter of No Nay Never owns six wins from 18 starts and four of them have come on rain-affected tracks.
Having Damien Oliver riding helps and we’re not surprised by the money coming for her.
Race 4. (13:25) Furphy Percy Sykes Stakes (1200m)
#3 – Paris Dior @ $2.40 – Bet @ Neds
Paris Dior finished second in a tough race last time out and she has since added consecutive trial wins to her record.
The talented two-year-old was a winner at Canterbury by 3.3 lengths earlier this preparation and carrying 54kg with McDonald on her back helps.
She has a bright future and this race is hers for the taking.
Race 5. (14:00) Arrowfield Sprint (1200m)
#2 – Paulele @ $4.20 – Bet @ Neds
The three-year-old colt finished third in the T.J. Smith Stakes and this is much easier, so he demands attention.
He owns five wins from six starts at Randwick and we’re surprised that he’s not the favourite given his form.
Punters should be happy with the each-way odds available.
Race 10. (17:10) Tab Sapphire Stakes (1200m)
#8 – Emanate @ $6.50 – Bet @ Neds
Emanate comes off a win at Rosehill in heavy conditions and she’s good enough to go back-to-back.
The five-year-old daughter of Lonhro won by 4.8 lengths against a tidy field and she runs her best races with the sting out of the surface.
She has yet to win at Randwick from five attempts, but we think that will change here and punters get odds worth taking.
