Eagle Farm horse racing tips

Race 1. (12:03) Gold Coast March Sale Handicap (1400m)

#3 – Mishani Embrace @ $2 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Mishani Embrace capped off consistent form with a win at Toowoomba and she’s good enough to kick on with it.

She owns one win and five placings from seven starts, so she’s consistent and she runs her best races on good surfaces.

Her win came by eight lengths, so the $2 is a fair price.

Race 2. (12:38) Stradbroke Season on Sale BM78 (2412m)

#7 – Forever You @ $2 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Punters have to take short odds again for Forever You, but she looks like a nice stayer on the rise.

The Annabel Neasham-trained mare won by 4.3 lengths at Newcastle last start and rising in distance holds no fears for the daughter of Galileo.

Carrying 54kg tips the scales in her favour.

Race 3. (13:13) Tab Venue Mode C6 Plate (1600m)

#5 – Dealmaker @ $4 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Dealmaker returned to form when winning at Toowoomba last start and we think he can go back-to-back.

The six-year-old son of Dundeel is only a four-time winner from 34 starts, but he’s a confidence runner and Doomben should suit him.

Punters get odds worth taking and he’s in the mix.

Race 4. (13:52) Followmont Transport C3 Plate (1300m)

#9 – Menazzi @ $3.40 – Bet @ Sportsbet

The Stuart Kendrick-trained three-year-old comes off a 2.3-length win at Sunshine Coast and he has upside.

He owns two wins and two placings from six starts, so the consistency is there and drawing barrier two plays into his hands.

Most of the early money has come his way and more could come on race day.

Race 5. (14:32) Pimm’s Plate (1600m)

#1 – Gypsy Goddess @ $2.10 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Gypsy Goddess is unbeaten from four starts and there’s no reason to jump off her back.

The three-year-old filly scored by 3.8 lengths last time out over 2100m, and although she drops in distance, she won over a mile second-up.

2kg comes off her back and punters should be confident in her chances.

Race 6. (15:12) Nova 106.9 Handicap (1300m)

#1 – Legal Esprit @ $5.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Legal Esprit has yet to win this preparation, but he’s warming up nicely and money is coming for him.

The three-year-old wasn’t far behind Prince of Boom last week and being on the quick back-up plays into his hands.

Dropping in weight helps and we’re expecting a top effort.

Race 7. (15:52) Don Julio C3 Plate (1000m)

#4 – Osamu @ $3.30 – Bet @ Sportsbet

It’s last chance saloon for Osamu, who is better than his opposition he faces on Saturday.

The four-year-old son of Exceed and Excel owns two wins and seven placings, so he’s always around the mark and racing on a good surface helps.

If he can’t beat this field, it’s never going to happen for him.

Race 8. (16:28) Tanqueray Handicap (1200m)

#6 – Contemptuous @ $3.40 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Contemptuous ended last preparation with three consecutive wins and it’s tough to ignore that form.

The five-year-old son of Rubick is unbeaten at the distance and he finds form early in his campaign, so we expect him to come out firing.

Getting the inside draw with only 53.5kg on his back is ideal.

Race 9. (17:08) Silk Laser Clinics BM78 (1400m)

#8 – Avowal @ $11 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Avowal was too good for them at Toowoomba last start and punters get value odds this time around.

The five-year-old gelding owns a win and two placings at Doomben, so the change in track is no problem. He also loves the distance, so the statistics read well.

All five career wins have come on good tracks, so we’re happy with the $11 available.
