There is plenty of value available with bookmakers at the Friday meetings and we have our best bets across the cards.

Race 1. (11:45) Become A CRJC Member C1 Handicap (1206m)

#1 – Light of Boom @ $2.15 – Bet @ Ladbrokes

The three-year-old gelding comes off a win at Grafton and he’s good enough to go back-to-back.

The son of Spirit of Boom scored impressively by five lengths and that’s not easy to do over such a short distance.

Getting 2kg off his back helps and it should make him tough to handle.

Race 4. (13:35) North Coast Electrical C1 (946m)

#1 – Hauraki Gulf @ $4 – Bet @ Ladbrokes

Hauraki Gulf is getting close to posting another win after three consecutive placings and we’re putting him on top.

The three-year-old son of Written Tycoon wasn’t far behind the winner when running third last start and the 2kg claim helps his cause.

Punters get each-way odds and they’re worth taking.

Race 7. (15:25) Tunnel Rats of Vietnam Maiden (1610m)

#9 – Pretty Posy @ $5 – Bet @ Ladbrokes

Pretty Posy does her best racing fresh up and she showed enough pace last preparation to warrant attention.

The four-year-old mare finished third at Gold Coast before running second at Ipswich, so the form checks out and dropping to 54kg is ideal.

Punters get $5 and those odds are worth taking.

Race 8. (16:05) Alan Bowling Painting BM66 (1610m)

#1 – The Catch @ $2.60 – Bet @ Ladbrokes

Michael Costa lines up the three-time winner, who got back to winning form at Gold Coast last start.

The four-year-old scored by 6.3 lengths on a rain-affected track and he gets similar conditions on Friday.

He needs to carry a big weight to victory but punters should be confident that he can produce the goods on race day.

Race 2. (17:45) Frankston Sand Soil Maiden (1400m)

#6 – Riverplate @ $2.15 – Bet @ Ladbrokes

Riverplate should have won a race by now but he doesn’t get a better chance than this.

The Busuttin/Young-trained colt has run behind the likes of Lightsaber, Forgot You and Anamoe before heading back to New Zealand.

His form there was solid and he meets an easy maiden field and he should capitalise.

Race 4. (18:45) Silks Cranbourne Maiden (1600m)

#11 – Sunday’s Best @ $3 – Bet @ Ladbrokes

Sunday’s Best has improved with every run and she could cap it off with a win.

The three-year-old daughter of Snitzel closed off nicely for third at Werribee and we like the look of that form.

Money is coming for her and we’re not surprised.

Race 6. (19:45) Wilson Medic One BM70 (2025m)

#5 – Yaphet @ $2.15 – Bet @ Ladbrokes

Yaphet comes off a strong win at Sale and the first two home cleared out from the rest of the field.

The three-year-old owns two wins and three placings from 10 starts, so he’s always around the mark and he could continue to mature.

Getting $2.15 is a good price and he could start a touch shorter on race night, so lock in the price.

Race 7. (20:15) O’Brien Real Estate C1 Handicap (1400m)

#5 – Miss Jennifer @ $3.50 – Bet @ Ladbrokes

Miss Jennifer won on debut at Pakenham by 2.8 lengths before finishing third behind Love Takes Time.

The well-bred daughter of Sacred Falls didn’t get all favours in her most recent run, so it could pay to forgive the effort.

Getting the inside draw is ideal and the price is worth locking in.
