Friday Horse Racing Tips – Friday, August 19th 2022

We have expert betting tips for the cards this Friday at Ballarat and Murwillumbah.

There is plenty of value available with bookmakers at the Friday horse racing meetings and we have our best bets across the cards.

Tried our top rated bookmakers?

Race 2. (13:30) Global Turf Maiden (1400m)

#3 – Caldante – Bet @ Ladbrokes

Caldante didn’t do much wrong when running third on debut at Ballarat and having another run on this track helps.

The three-year-old son of So You Think was six lengths behind the winner as the $2.40 favourite, but we’re giving him another chance.

Watch for any late betting moves.

Race 3. (14:05) Pipe Pro Directional Drill Maiden (1400m)

#2 – French Comet – Bet @ Ladbrokes

French Comet has gone close with two placings from three starts, including a second placing at Ballarat last time out.

The McEvoy-trained son of Shalaa enjoyed the synthetic conditions and getting the inside draw for this race is ideal.

Punters should expect a tidy effort.

Race 5. (15:15) Hygain Winners Choice BM64 (1000m)

#3 – King Tommy – Bet @ Ladbrokes

King Tommy gave them a touch-up at Ballarat last start and a repeat performance could be on the cards.

The four-year-old son of Capitalist always looked to have potential and it was good to see him put it all together on the track.

This is harder but he should be tough to beat.

Race 7. (16:30) 2022 Martin Collins Final BM78 (1500m)

#2 – My Boy Birmingham – Bet @ Ladbrokes

Team McEvoy lines up the five-year-old gelding who comes off a tidy second placing at Mildura.

The son of Unencumbered owns four wins and two second placings from six starts at Ballarat, so he’s a track specialist.

It’s tough to bet against him given his track record.

Race 1. (12:45) Murwillumbah Services BM58 (1100m)

#7 – Tattletale – Bet @ Ladbrokes

Tattletale won on debut at Ipswich by a narrow margin and she could remain unbeaten on Friday.

The Matthew Dunn-trained mare by Spill the Beans was the $1.90 favourite, so the money was on and it’s likely to be on again.

She needs only luck from the wide draw.

Race 3. (13:55) Take It Ezy Meat Co. C2 Handicap (1550m)

#1 – Think High – Bet @ Ladbrokes

Think High is looking to cap off a tidy placing at Eagle Farm last start with a win.

The five-year-old son of So You Think won his only start on the track and getting the inside draw should see him land on the speed.

This race is there for the taking and we’re backing him.

Race 5. (15:05) Wholesale Sand BM76 (2020m)

#7 – Noble Cat – Bet @ Ladbrokes

Noble Cat looked good when winning at Doomben three starts back and he hasn’t been far away since.

The five-year-old comes off a tidy effort for fifth at Eagle Farm and we believe he’s good enough to rise through the grades.

Punters should expect each-way odds on race day.

Race 6. (15:40) Boutique Thoroughbreds BM85 (1200m)

#7 – Parksville – Bet @ Ladbrokes

Parksville loomed home last start before getting reeled in late. However, we think he’ll go one better.

The five-year-old son of Vancouver is a two-time winner at the distance and drawing barrier four should give him every chance in the run.

We expect short odds on race day.
