Moonee Valley

Race 1. (18:15) Schweppes Maiden (1200m)

#1 – Chain @ $3.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Chain has taken plenty of money to date and not delivered, but the three-year-old has been close.

The Chris Waller-trained son of Exosphere was only a half-length behind Mianado at Pakenham last start, which is a good form guide.

Craig Williams rides and his form is set to turn around.

Race 4. (19:45) Solo No Sugar BM70 (955m)

#4 – Destiny Diamond @ $3.70 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Destiny Diamond wasn’t disgraced when running third at Moonee Valley last week and being on the quick back-up helps.

The three-year-old owns three wins and two placings from six starts, so she has been a model of consistency.

2kg comes off her back and the money looks spot on.

Race 6. (20:45) Cool Ridge BM64 (1200m)

#6 – Snapped @ $1.85 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Looking to remain unbeaten is Snapped, who scored easily by 2.8 lengths at Pakenham on debut.

The three-year-old filly by Not a Single Doubt could have a bright future and the early money has come for her.

The $1.85 could firm to around $1.60 on race night, so it’s best to jump on the early odds.

Race 7. (21:15) Happy 95th Horace Gelder BM64 (1200m)

#5 – Mars Mission @ $2 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Team Hawkes lines up the three-year-old colt who scored by just under a length at Warwick Farm last start.

The son of Deep Field has been steadily backed since markets opened and he looks like a type that could rise through the grades.

Take the $2 as he could be a well-backed runner on the night.

Race 2. (19:00) Hyland Race Colours BM64 (1200m)

#2 – Spellcatcher @ $3.40 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Spellcatcher owns two wins and two placings from four starts, so he has every chance to take this out.

The Kris Lees-trained three-year-old won at Newcastle and Scone, but provincial form can hold up at this level.

Getting the inside draw helps a younger horse and we’re happy with the odds available.

Race 4. (20:00) Ranvet BM72 (1250m)

#1 – Ita @ $5 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Ita is a four-time winner and four-time placegetter from 12 starts, so the consistency is there.

The daughter of All Too Hard finished fourth behind Yiyi at Randwick last start, and although it came over 2000m, she can sprint.

Her recent trial form is solid, so put her on top.

Race 6. (21:00) The Agency Real Estate BM72 (1100m)

#3 – Star Cherie @ $4.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet

The four-year-old mare is a four-time winner from eight starts, so she’s worth following.

She comes off a win at Warwick Farm over Esteemed Lady, so that form checks out and her opening odds were snapped up.

She opened at $5.50 and she’s now into $4.60, so it’s a solid move.

Race 7. (21:30) Schweppes BM72 (1550m)

#1 – Off Shaw @ $3.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Off Shaw comes off back-to-back third placings at Warwick Farm and he has plenty of improvement to come.

The six-year-old son of Tobique was only a narrow margin behind Marnix and Overlord, so the form lines are good.

Having James McDonald riding offsets the big weight, so put him on top of selections are the each-way price.
