Race 2. (18:30) Ranvet Maiden Handicap (1250m)

#4 – California Surreal @ $2 – Bet @ Sportsbet

California Surreal comes off a trial win at Rosehill and that should have her in good stead for this contest.

The three-year-old daughter of I Am Invincible owns two placings from four starts and there has been steady money for her.

That’s a good sign, so she’s worth following.

Race 4. (19:30) The Agency Real Estate BM72 (1550m)

#5 – Metro Legend @ $3.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Metro Legend is only a two-time winner but one of those wins came at Canterbury.

The Annabel Neasham-trained four-year-old wasn’t far away when running fourth last time out and anything similar could be enough.

We think he’s due for a big effort so put him on top.

Race 6. (20:30) Kia Shooting Star BM72 (1250m)

#4 – Finally Realise @ $3.90 – Bet @ Sportsbet

After two solid efforts this preparation, Finally Realise could realise his potential and score a win.

The Peter Robl-trained son of All Too Hard owns two wins and 10 placings from 19 starts, so there is nothing wrong with his form.

He has been specked after opening at $4 and that money looks well placed.

Race 7. (21:00) First Justify Yearlings BM72 (1100m)

#7 – Way to the Stars @ $2.35 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Way to the Stars is unbeaten after two starts and the three-year-old looks like a nice type in the making.

The son of Reward for Effort scored by 2.8 lengths last time out at Gosford and he can measure up at this level.

Barrier four is ideal and we expect him to be right in the thick of the action.

Race 1. (18:15) Tab Long May We Play Maiden (1600m)

#3 – Sonofthebeast @ $3 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Sonofthebeast has finished second and third from two starts at Cranbourne, so he deserves a winning turn.

The three-year-old son of Maurice was under a half-length from the winner last time out and there is little wrong with that form.

The barrier is tricky but he has time to find cover.

Race 3. (19:15) Browns Sawdust & Shavings Maiden (1300m)

#4 – Holy Spirit @ $3.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet

The four-year-old mare is threatening to win after one placing at Pakenham and she struggled with the heavy track last start.

She is a daughter of Deep Field that has been well-backed to win and she didn’t get much luck last start, so she can turn that around.

Craig Williams rides and we’re confident of her chances.

Race 5. (20:15) O’Briens Real Estate BM64 (1600m)

#2 – Flossing @ $4.40 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Flossing is a four-year-old gelding who went close at Pakenham last start and he should be right in the mix.

The son of Tavistock was a length behind the winner and he hit the line nicely, which is a good sign for this race.

$4.40 is a value price and he has upside.

Race 8. (21:45) Frankston Mazda BM64 (2060m)

#9 – Runaway Train @ $4.40 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Runaway Train looked like a nice type in the making and she got back to good form at Yarra Glen last start.

The five-year-old daughter of Bullet Train has yet to miss a win or placing at Cranbourne, so punters should expect another tidy effort.

Watch for any late market movement.
