Sale

Race 1. (13:00) Virtue Homes Maiden Plate (2247m)

#4 – Gmork @ $2.25 – Bet @ Ladbrokes

Gmork owns two second placings from five starts and the Danny O’Brien-trained runner has every chance to get off the mark.

The three-year-old son of Tivaci was only a half-length behind the winner last start and he could go one better.

Most of the early money has come his way.

Race 3. (14:00) Sale Motor Group Maiden (1113m)

#1 – I’m Innocent @ $3.90 – Bet @ Ladbrokes

I’m Innocent went close at Pakenham last start and he could make the switch from synthetic to grass.

The Rachel Cunningham-trained son of Swear gets all favours off the inside draw and that makes him tough to hold out.

Punters get fair odds for the favourite.

Race 5. (15:00) Camera House BM64 (1113m)

#5 – Big Apple @ $4.40 – Bet @ Ladbrokes

Big Apple is better than what he showed at Geelong last start and we’re picking him to bounce back on Friday.

The three-year-old gelding owns a win and four placings from seven starts, including a third placing at Caulfield two starts back.

Barrier 11 shouldn’t be much of an issue, so include at the each-way odds.

Race 6. (15:30) Ultra Blinds C1 Handicap (1213m)

#4 – The Great Houdini @ $4.20 – Bet @ Ladbrokes

The Great Houdini ran a good time when scoring on debut at Geelong and it bodes well for another run.

He is a well-bred son of Written Tycoon who has been backed into $4.20 after opening at $4.50, so it’s a sizable move.

Barrier three helps and we’re in his camp and we believe he can remain unbeaten.

Goulburn

Race 1. (12:00) Goulpro Maiden Handicap (1000m)

#6 – Vientiane @ $3.30 – Bet @ Ladbrokes

Vientiane is on debut for James Cummings after some pleasing trial form in Sydney.

The three-year-old filly comes off a trial win at Randwick and she’s going to be well-educated from this stable.

We expect her to be fighting out the finish.

Race 3. (13:10) Goulburn Mulwaree Council Maiden (1600m)

#5 – Adorable Miss @ $2.70 – Bet @ Ladbrokes

Adorable Miss owns two placings from four starts, including finishing second by a nose at Newcastle last time out.

The four-year-old daughter of Pierro opened at $3.50 and has been heavily backed to score, so that’s a positive for punters.

Barrier two is ideal and we expect another top effort.

Race 4. (13:45) Goulburn Post C1 Handicap (1200m)

#5 – Golden Gate @ $2.80 – Bet @ Ladbrokes

The three-year-old filly scored by three lengths on debut at Newcastle and that’s an excellent form guide.

She didn’t show much at the trials prior to winning but she produced the goods on race day and we’re not surprised by the money coming for her.

It could pay to watch for late betting moves with Golden Gate as she has drifted a touch.

Race 7. (15:40) Complete Plumbing BM64 (1400m)

#2 – Flower Moon @ $2.60 – Bet @ Ladbrokes

Flower Moon is a two-time winner, including a victory at Goulburn two back and she finished strongly at Warwick Farm last start.

The Maher/Eustace-trained three-year-old is unbeaten in two starts on the track and she gets every chance off the inside draw.

We expect plenty of money to come for her throughout the week.
