Moonee Valley

Race 1. (18:15) Carlton Draught Emma Boling (1200m)

#3 – Able Willie @ $2.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Able Willie comes off a fourth at Flemington behind Overpass and racing at The Valley could help his chances.

The three-year-old gelding by Written Tycoon showed ability when winning on debut and anything close to that effort should see him winning.

It’s a tough field but having Jamie Kah in the saddle is a bonus.

Race 2. (18:45) Ascend Sales Trophies BM64 (1200m)

#1 – Jucconi @ $3 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Jucconi could remain unbeaten when running second at Moonee Valley last start but he went down fighting behind Growl.

The four-year-old gelding had looked good winning at Pakenham and Ballarat and we like that form going forward.

Barrier 11 isn’t ideal over this distance, but he’s likely to drop back from the draw and storm home late.

Race 3. (19:15) PFD Food Services Valley Pearl (1200m)

#7 – Nanagui @ $3.10 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Nanagui comes off second placings behind Sebonack and Ruthless Dame, so the form checks out for this level of racing.

The Peter Moody-trained two-year-old ran one of the better last 400m of the day last start, so that bodes well for a big effort.

It could pay to follow any positive betting moves on race day.

Race 4. (19:45) Sunline Stakes (1600m)

#3 – Flying Mascot @ $1.70 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Flying Mascot has won back-to-back races against very good opposition, so we’re not surprised by the short odds.

The four-year-old mare by Tavistock won by two lengths at Flemington last start and the six-time winner has matured into a smart type.

Barrier three is ideal, and although she’s short in betting, she is worth including in multi bets.

Race 5. (20:15) Ladbrokes 55 Second Challenge BM90 (955m)

#1 – Yulong Command @ $3 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Yulong Command is gunning for three consecutive wins and he is a course specialist with five wins from six starts at The Valley.

The son of Written Tycoon finds another gear on this track and he kicked away for an effortless 2.5-length win last time out.

There was class in that performance and getting the inside draw with 58kg on his back helps.

Race 6. (20:45) Chandler MacLeod BM64 (2040m)

#1 – Inverell @ $2.30 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Inverell didn’t fire last time out but we’re expecting an immediate bounce back performance.

The three-year-old showed ability when winning fresh up at Sandown when scoring by 2.8 lengths, so with fitness under his belt, he should go well.

Getting barrier two should see him land in a good spot and it’s another good ride for Kah.

Race 8. (21:45) Dynamic Print Alexandra Stakes (1600m)

#8 – So You See @ $3.40 – Bet @ Sportsbet

So You See won on debut before 4.3 lengths before finishing fourth at Flemington behind Barb Raider.

There is plenty to like about that form going forward and the daughter of So You Think didn’t get much luck last time out.

She will likely settle back and hit the line with purpose, so the $3.40 is a fair price from bookmakers in the final race of the night.
