Thursday 21/07/22
7:50pm Parramatta Eels vs Brisbane Broncos @ CommBank Stadium
The Eels got their season back on track with a win over the New Zealand Warriors last week, but they didn’t have much opposition.
We were more impressed with the Brisbane Broncos win over the Gold Coast Titans. We also like the odds for the Broncos, who are paying $2.45.
That’s a value price for the visitors.
Betting tip: Brisbane Broncos @ $2.45 Bet @ Neds

6:00pm St George Dragons vs Manly Sea Eagles @ Netstrata Jubilee Stadium
The Dragons capitulated after the half against the Sydney Roosters and it’s hard to see them turning that performance around.
We liked what we saw from the Manly Sea Eagles, who put up a big number on the Newcastle Knights. Similar effort sees them beat the Dragons, who are struggling to make the top eight.
Bookmakers have the Sea Eagles at –3.5, which is a value line.
Betting tip: Manly Sea Eagles –3.5 @ $1.90 Bet @ Neds

7:55pm Newcastle Knights vs Sydney Roosters @ McDonald Jones Stadium
The Newcastle Knights are struggling for momentum and the Sydney Roosters might have woken up last week.
It was been a disappointing season for both teams but the Roosters are fighting for a playoff spot and that could be the difference.
They opened up the Dragons and the Knights could be on the wrong end of another one-sided result, so take the Roosters to cover the 9.5-point spread.
Betting tip: Sydney Roosters –9.5 @ $1.90 Bet @ Neds

3:00pm Canberra Raiders vs New Zealand Warriors @ GIO Stadium
The Canberra Raiders bounced back into playoff contention with an upset win over the Melbourne Storm and we fancy their chances of winning again.
There isn’t much reason to back the New Zealand Warriors for the rest of the year, so take the Raiders to cover the big spread.
Bookmakers have the line at –11.5 and we could see that drift to around –13.5 on game day.
Betting tip: Canberra Raiders –11.5 @ $1.90 Bet @ Neds

5:30pm Penrith Panthers vs Cronulla Sharks @ BlueBet Stadium
Penrith had the luxury of resting its State of Origin players last week when gripping on to beat the Wests Tigers. We wouldn’t read too much into that performance but the Cronulla Sharks could turn up.
Bookmakers aren’t giving them much respect as a $4 underdog, especially given how they’re a top three side. Therefore, we’re taking the Sharks to cover the spread.
They’re getting +11.5 and that’s too generous to pass up.
Betting tip: Cronulla Sharks +11.5 @ $1.90 Bet @ Neds

7:35pm South Sydney Rabbitohs vs Melbourne Storm @ Accor Stadium
We’re not sure what’s going wrong with the Melbourne Storm, who have now lost three on the bounce.
However, you don’t often see them losing four in a row, and although the South Sydney Rabbitohs are playing well, we’re sticking with the Storm.
Punters get a favourable line for the Storm and we can’t pass it up despite their worrying form.
Betting tip: Melbourne Storm @ $1.65 Bet @ Neds

2:00pm Canterbury Bulldogs vs Gold Coast Titans @ CommBank Stadium
The Bulldogs have been showing some fight recently and they get an ideal chance to climb the ladder.
There is hope for Bulldogs fans after a strong losing effort against the Rabbitohs last week. The same can’t be said for the Titans, who will do well to not finish last.
It might not be a pretty game but it’s one the Bulldogs should win.
Betting tip: Canterbury Bulldogs @ $1.54 Bet @ Neds

4:05pm North Queensland Cowboys vs Wests Tigers @ Country Bank Stadium
We didn’t see enough from the North Queensland Cowboys last week but they are playing much better than the Wests Tigers.
Despite the poor performance in Round 18, the Cowboys should have little trouble putting away the Tigers, who sit at the bottom of the NRL ladder.
Covering a –19.5 spread isn’t easy but we’re not backing the Tigers.
Betting tip: North Queensland Cowboys –19.5 @ $1.90 Bet @ Neds
