Randwick horse racing tips & form

Race 1. (12:45) Rabaul New Guinea Maiden (1100m)

#8 – Headliner @ $3.30 – Bet @ PlayUp

Headliner has been a headscratcher for punters, but she’s worth sticking with on Monday.

The Chris Waller-trained filly owns three second placings from eight starts and it’s only a matter of time before she wins.

Having James McDonald in the saddle helps and she handles rain-affected tracks.

Race 2. (13:20) Kokoda Trail BM64 (1300m)

#2 – Terrameades @ $3.10 – Bet @ PlayUp

Terrameades is shooting for three consecutive wins and we’re in her camp.

The Kris Lees-trained three-year-old enjoyed the heavy conditions when scoring by a length last start at Newcastle.

Carrying a big weight is a potential issue, but she should have the class edge over this field and punters get fair odds.

Race 3. (13:55) The Home Front BM64 (1550m)

#7 – Toesonthenose @ $3.80 – Bet @ PlayUp

The Mark Newnham-trained three-year-old scored a win at Hawkesbury last start and he could rise through the grades.

Toesonthenose scored easily by two lengths as a $2.50 favourite and it’s no surprise to see the money come again.

Drawing wide in the wet isn’t a negative and we fancy his chances of going back-to-back.

Race 4. (14:30) Armistice BM72 (1000m)

#2 – Quiet Riot @ $4.40 – Bet @ PlayUp

Quiet Riot turned his form around with a win at Orange and he has more upside than most in this field.

The five-year-old gelding turned his wet track form around after going six starts without a win or placing, so that’s a step in the right direction.

Getting James McDonald in the saddle helps and the each-way odds are worth snapping up.

Race 5. (15:05) Australia General Hospital BM68 (1400m)

#7 – Banana Queen @ $13 – Bet @ PlayUp

Banana Queen hasn’t shown much in tough fields recently but she could find this more up her alley.

The three-year-old daughter of So You Think looked much better when winning at Rosehill last year and anything close to that run sees her winning here.

We’re more than happy to take the double-figure odds and she should be tough to beat.

Race 6. (15:40) Anzac Day Cup BM72 (2400m)

#2 – Forever You @ $3 – Bet @ PlayUp

Searching for her fourth win from her last five starts, Forever You has attracted attention with betting markets.

The Annabel Neasham-trained daughter of Galileo won narrowly at Warwick Farm last time out and she’s a nice stayer in the making.

She handles wet tracks and punters are still getting value odds.

Race 7. (16:15) Walkers Ridge Gallipoli BM72 (1800m)

#3 – Oceanography @ $5.50 – Bet @ PlayUp

Oceanography scored consecutive wins at Stawell and Kilmore before running third at Ballarat last time out.

The four-year-old son of Ocean Park comes to Sydney for the first time and he has been heavily backed after opening at $7.50.

It could pay to watch for race-day betting moves.

Race 8. (16:50) The Australian Imperial Force BM72 (1400m)

#5 – Mach Schnell @ $5 – Bet @ PlayUp

Mach Schnell is a former Kiwi runner who finished fourth at Hawkesbury in his Australian debut.

The five-year-old son of Zacinto was only two lengths behind a similar field and his best form comes over this distance.

After opening at $8, there has been a stack of money, so he’s a runner worth following.
