Randwick horse racing tips

Race 1. (12:25) Darley Lonhro Plate (1000m)

#5 – Lady Laguna @ $3 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Looking to remain unbeaten after three starts is Lady Laguna, who scored by four lengths on a heavy track last start.

The Annabel Neasham-trained filly looks to have a bright future and having James McDonald in the saddle is a bonus.

We expect the $3 to come crashing down on race day.

Race 2. (13:00) Tab Highway Handicap C3 (1200m)

#7 – Participator @ $5 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Participator is another unbeaten runner who scored by 4.5 lengths on a good track at Wagga last start.

The talented son of Contributer looks ready for this level of racing and both wins came at this distance, so the 1200m reads well.

Hugh Bowman rides and punters get each way value.

Race 3. (13:35) Midway BM72 (1600m)

#8 – Lennon @ $7.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Lennon got back to his best form at Newcastle last start and we like his chances to go back-to-back.

The four-year-old son of Shamus Award gets a valuable 2kg claimer in the saddle and he has performed well against stronger fields.

Take the value odds available.

Race 4. (14:10) Ranvet Sprint BM94 (1000m)

#1 – Malkovich @ $3.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Malkovich is a consistent winner of six from 16 starts and he also owns seven minor placings.

He has been expensive for win punters at his last four starts, which have resulted in four consecutive second placings. However, he’s a class act and he should go well here.

Getting back to Randwick helps and he can hold off this talented field.

Race 5. (14:45) Davali Thoroughbreds Cup BM78 (1600m)

#6 – Fleetwood Maca @ $6 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Fleetwood Maca is a former Kiwi who has rediscovered her best form with a recent win and placing.

The Neasham-trained mare won by a length at Canberra before placing at Randwick, so that form checks out well for this level.

Dropping to 54kg helps, so put her on top.

Race 7. (16:05) Vinery BM78 (1300m)

#10 – Steel Diamond @ $5.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Chris Waller lines up the five-year-old mare who owns three wins and seven placings, so she has class on her side.

The daughter of Star Witness was only 1.5 lengths behind the winner last start and having Jamie Kah in the saddle is a bonus.

Punters get each-way odds which are worth taking.

Race 8. (16:45) Eskimo Prince Stakes (1200m)

#4 – Paulele @ $2.25 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Paulele is unbeaten in four starts at Randwick and we think the three-year-old is a good bet.

The James Cummings-trained colt comes off a poor run in the Coolmore Stakes, but his recent trial was solid and he’s classy at best.

$2.25 is an accurate reflection of his winning chances.

Race 9. (17:25) Tab BM78 (1200m)

#13 – Silent Impact @ $2.70 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Looking to win his fourth race from five starts is Silent Impact, who defeated a quality field by a half-length at Randwick.

The three-year-old son of Maurice gets every chance from barrier two and we expect him to push forward and be tough to run down.

His odds are drifting, but he should start as race favourite.

Race 10. (18:00) Yarraman Park Handicap (1600m)

#9 – No Compromise @ $10 – Bet @ Sportsbet

No Compromise did enough fresh up when third to suggest that he won’t take long to win.

The Waller-trained son of Pins was only 1.1 lengths behind Special Reward and Through the Cracks, so punters get value odds.

Having McDonald riding is a bonus, so take the value.
