Rosehill horse racing tips
Race 1. (12:25) Tab Highway Handicap C3 (1400m)
#6 – Golden Point @ $8.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Golden Point scored back-to-back wins earlier this preparation before handling the rise in class well.
The Stirling Osland-trained four-year-old has placed in both attempts in the Highway Handicap, so he deserves a breakthrough win.
We’re loving the odds available.
Race 2. (13:00) Schweppes BM94 (1100m)
#1 – Rule of Law @ $2.45 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Rule of Law is gunning for his fifth consecutive win and he’s one of the more impressive geldings going around.
The four-year-old son of Snitzel is unbeaten in two starts at Rosehill after beating a good field last start, so it bodes well for another big showing.
Drawing barrier four helps and the $2.45 could firm to an odds-on quote.
Race 3. (13:35) Midway BM72 (1500m)
#3 – McCormack @ $9.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
McCormack is getting close to scoring an overdue win after finishing second at Randwick behind King Ratel last start.
The Tracy Bartley-trained gelding has yet to win from eight attempts at Randwick, but it’s not an overly strong field and he could take advantage.
Having Hugh Bowman in the saddle does his chances no harm.
Race 4. (14:10) Rosehill Millie Fox Stakes (1300m)
#3 – Expat @ $3.90 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Expat is a professional winner of seven from 12 starts, including last time out at Gosford when beating a talented field.
The four-year-old mare has been primed with a trial win at Warwick Farm and it was run in a quick time, so she’s worth following.
We’re expecting a solid market move.
Race 5. (14:45) Ned Whisky BM78 (1100m)
#2 – Nasturtium @ $3.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Nasturtium is looking to remain unbeaten from four starts after scoring at Hawkesbury, Gosford and Canterbury.
The four-year-old paid only $1.55 when scoring at Canterbury and the well-bred son of Snitzel should handle the pressure.
This is his toughest test, but he has done nothing wrong to date.
Race 6. (15:25) Fujitsu General Silver Slipper (1100m)
#2 – Best of Bordeaux @ $8.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Best of Bordeaux couldn’t have been more impressive on debut when scoring by 4.8 lengths at Rosehill.
The two-year-old colt will likely try to find the rail again and kick, so if that happens, he’s every chance to score.
Punters are getting value odds and we wouldn’t be leaving him out of selections.
Race 7. (16:05) Parramatta Cup (1900m)
#11 – No Compromise @ $6.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
There was plenty to like about the run of No Compromise at Randwick last time out. The Chris Waller-trained gelding battled to the line with purpose.
He is a two-time winner at Rosehill and getting into this race with only 53kg on his back is a steal. That should make him tough to beat and punters get value odds.
Watch the odds for the Waller-trained runners on race day.
Race 8. (16:45) Petaluma Hobartville Stakes (1400m)
#1 – Anamoe @ $1.75 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Anamoe was always going to be up against it fresh up, but we were impressed with his third placing behind Overpass.
The three-year-old colt has yet to win at Rosehill from three attempts, but this race is his for the taking and the odds suggest as much.
Take the $1.75 before it shortens.
Race 9. (17:25) Chandon BM100 (1400m)
#9 – Giannis @ $9 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Giannis didn’t fire fresh up at Randwick but he didn’t catch the jump and that ruined his chances.
The three-year-old gelding is much better than that and there has been solid betting support throughout the week.
He opened at $14, so it’s a solid move.
Race 10. (18:00) XXXX BM78 (1400m)
#3 – Dajraan @ $3 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Dajraan is going for his third consecutive win after scoring at Warwick Farm by 1.5 lengths last start.
The four-year-old son of Frankel has drifted in betting markets after opening at $2.30, but we think he’ll be well-supported on race day.
Getting the inside draw with Tim Clark in the saddle helps.
