Rosehill horse racing tips

Race 1. (12:15) Midway BM72 (1300m)

#9 – Dalaalaat @ $4.60 – Bet @ Neds

Dalaalaat comes off a third placing at Rosehill behind Invincible Kiss and we expect that form to stack up nicely.

The five-year-old gelding is a three-time winner from 16 starts and he owns a placing at Rosehill, which bodes well.

$4.60 is a fair price and having James McDonald in the saddle helps.

Race 2. (12:50) Schweppervescence Handicap (1400m)

#2 – Boyfriend @ $5.50 – Bet @ Neds

Boyfriend finished second behind Sejardan at Randwick last start and that’s Golden Slipper form.

The two-year-old son of Snitzel will need to do some work from an outside barrier, but he has good tactical pace and that helps.

Punters get value odds and they’re worth taking in a tough betting race.

Race 3. (13:25) Furphy Neville Sellwood Stakes (2000m)

#5 – Sky Lab @ $7.50 – Bet @ Neds

Sky Lab scored an impressive win at Rosehill fresh up before finishing fourth behind Stockman.

We’re prepared to put that run down to being second-up, so punters should expect a bounce back effort at value odds.

Carrying 55kg is ideal and he should be able to show off his superior turn-of-foot with that weight on his back.

Race 4. (14:00) Yarraman Park Tulloch Stakes (2000m)

#5 – Sword Point @ $5 – Bet @ Neds

Sword Point is a two-time winner from seven starts and he scored his only win at Rosehill two back.

The three-year-old son of American Pharoah won by 4.3 lengths over 2000m before dropping to 1550m last start.

That didn’t help his chances, but getting back over distance is ideal and we’re surprised by the each-way odds available.

Race 5. (14:35) Canadian Club Emancipation (1500m)

#7 – Annavisto @ $3.20 – Bet @ Neds

The four-year-old mare never gave her opposition a chance at Flemington and a repeat could be on the cards.

It’s a stronger field here with the likes of Kissonallforcheeks, but she will likely push forward and try run them into the ground.

The six-time winner could be in for a big preparation and we’re in her camp.

Race 6. (15:15) ACY Securities Doncaster Prelude (1500m)

#14 – Mr Mozart @ $4.20 – Bet @ Neds

Mr Mozart has been facing tough fields throughout his career but they were no match for him last start at Rosehill.

The three-year-old colt won by two lengths having competed behind the likes of Sierra Sue and Marine One prior.

The talent is there and carrying 53kg makes him tough to hold out.

Race 9. (17:15) Egroup Security Star Kingdom (1200m)

#9 – Exoboom @ $13 – Bet @ Neds

Exoboom has yet to win fresh up, but he has gone close with three second placings and he could hit the ground running.

The Snowden-trained gelding comes off two solid trials, including a win at Randwick, so he’s ready to fire and punters get odds worth taking.

The track condition is fine and with only 54kg on his back, we’re happy to take the double-figure odds.

Race 10. (17:55) Cleanaway BM88 (1400m)

#7 – Rustic Steel @ $3.60 – Bet @ Neds

Rustic Steel is a five-time winner from only nine starts, so the class is there and punters shouldn’t jump off his back.

The four-year-old son of Deep Field scored by three lengths at Newcastle last start and that came over this distance.

Bowman rides and we wouldn’t be leaving him out of our calculations.
