The Meadows Greyhound Racing Tips

Race 1. 6.39PM Sky Racing Maiden Final – 525 metres

#3 Dr. Falkor – Bet @ Sportsbet

Like to see a dog with a few starts under their belt in these maiden races, this chaser came to The Meadows for his first couple of starts then dropped back to the shorts and came back stronger last week winning in good time around here.

That’s an experience all but one of his competitors lack, also draws in with box three this week and should show similar muster.

Race 2. 6.58PM TOPCAT Video Mixed 6/7 – 525 metres

#8 Dirt Farmer – Bet @ Sportsbet

Looks a progressive young type who gets in well in this 6/7 race, a run two starts ago from box eight stands out as excellent form for this when he ran 30.28 from box eight here at The Meadows.

Has gone even quicker than that in the past placing in 29.96, looks a matter of time until he starts to string a few wins together.

Race 3. 7.18PM Gladstone Park Cricket Club Grade 5 – 525 metres

#6 Providence Bale – Bet @ Sportsbet

This is the easiest race he’s seen in quite some time, over the last six months has often been a feature in the placings of free for all’s and higher graded races around here.

Hasn’t been far off in some of those outings and back to fifth grade gets his chance to bring up a milestone with win number twenty.

Race 4. 7.38PM TAB Long May We Play Grade 5 – 525 metres

#5 Fabriola Ximenez – Bet @ Sportsbet

Well and truly due, recently had a crack at the riches of Group racing at Wentworth Park, although not successful there a freshen up into this race will do nicely.

Melbourne form beforehand was excellent, just needs to navigate a path from box five and this strong five hundred metre dog will be right in this.

Race 5. 7.58PM Themeadows.org.au Grade 5 – 725 metres

#1 Flying Lantern – Bet @ Sportsbet

Ran into a hot commodity when beaten by rising star Bell Burner last time out here, he was brave in defeat only going under by a length and that form reads very well for a race like this.

Has been dedicated to the staying trip for a while now and though not yet successful in town has been right around the mark and should get a nice trip from the one here.

Race 6. 8.22PM KCR Pet Transport Mixed 4/5 – 600 metres

#5 Collinda Patty – Bet @ Sportsbet

She was back to her brilliant best last week, she drew the five on that occasion as well and despite the sticky start found a run and was too good for them.

This is a very similar field and with confidence back on her side hopefully she can sit herself outside the leader and run time only she can around this circuit.

Race 7. 8.41PM Cookes Electrical and Air Conditioning Grade 5 – 600 metres

#8 Zarate – Bet @ Sportsbet

Comes up at a very nice each-way quote, expected her to be much shorter off a last start win at track and trip from this box and strong form in the lead up to that race.

That was her second win within a month over the trip at The Meadows and could find far worse an option in this open-ended affair.

Race 8. 9.00PM The Phoenix Melbourne Mixed ¾ – 525 metres

#5 Carry on Maxwell – Bet @ Sportsbet

Another handy chaser at a good price, he’s a dog for all occasions this chaser, five hundred, six hundred it doesn’t both him, he always runs his honest race.

The five draw isn’t ideal but with no real speed influence in the race can hopefully land forward in the run and kick on for a big win.

Race 9. 9.25PM Gorski Tippers and Trailers Grade 5 – 525 metres

#5 Diesel Runner – Bet @ Sportsbet

Could be the big improver off an impressive third last week missing the kick and making up lengths the entire race to finish third.

He was still a way off them so will have to begin much better, but had been jumping faultlessly before that and looks well worth a look.

Race 10. 9.45PM Victoolship.com Grade 5 – 525 metres

#5 Crackerjack Ads – Bet @ Sportsbet

Wide open affair this race, so best to go with a dog in form and this bloke has won three of his last four with a good placing here at track and trip.

Has shown he can consistently jump and run from any draw and his winning record indicates his field sense should do him well here.

Race 11. 10.05PM Houdini Boy at Stud Grade 5 – 525 metres

#5 Barbara Anne – Bet @ Sportsbet

Another racing with supreme confidence, three of her five wins coming in her last five starts all of which were here at The Meadows.

Was up over the middle-distance and that seems to have her beginning much better and giving herself a chance over the sprint.

Race 12. 10.27PM TAB Venue Mode Grade 5 – 525 metres

#6 Dusty Lyn – Bet @ Sportsbet

Love the versatility of this bitch in another open race, she can win from the four hundred up to the six hundred and if things get messy here that strength could come in handy.

Hasn’t been winning but hasn’t been far off either, looks a good spot to find the line first.
