Thursday Horse Racing Tips – July 14th, 2022

We have expert betting tips for the cards this Thursday at Grafton and Bendigo.

There is plenty of value available with bookmakers at the Thursday meetings and we have our best bets across the cards.

Tried our top rated bookmakers?

Race 1. (12:20) Fidelity Capital BM66 (1000m)

#6 – Star Magnum @ $4.60 – Bet @ Ladbrokes

Star Magnum is never too far away from the prize and the four-year-old gelding is overdue a winning turn.

The Matthew Dunn-trained son of Magnus finished third at Eagle Farm last start and we expect that form to stack up well.

Punters get each-way odds to enjoy.

Race 3. (13:35) The Provedores C1 Handicap (1400m)

#3 – Lisztomania @ $3.50 – Bet @ Ladbrokes

The three-year-old gelding owns a win and four placings from six starts, so we’re not surprised by the shortening odds.

His most recent placing came at Randwick behind Bootscooter at Highway Handicap level, which is an excellent form guide.

The opening odds of $4.40 didn’t last long.

Race 5. (14:50) NBN News Springboard to Fame (1200m)

#1 – Durnstein @ $3.30 – Bet @ Ladbrokes

Durnstein was far too good for them at Grafton last time out when scoring by 4.3 lengths and he could go back-to-back.

The two-year-old won at $2.05 and punters get better odds against a harder field, but we’re prepared to take the risk.

He could be a smart type in the making and he’s worth following.

Race 6. (16:05) Southside Pharmacy Grafton Cup (2350m)

#2 – Dr Drill @ $3.50 – Bet @ Ladbrokes

Dr Drill went close at Rosehill last start and that form bodes well for the Grafton Cup.

The seven-year-old son of Dansili is a seven-time winner and 17-time placegetter from 41 starts, so he has been around the mark and he’s as solid as they come.

This race is there for the taking and we wouldn’t tip against him.

Race 2. (13:30) Signmob Maiden (1300m)

#2 – Divine Flash @ $2.80 – Bet @ Ladbrokes

Divine Flash finished second on debut at Ballarat behind Starconi and we expect that form to hold up nicely.

The two-year-old filly by Divine Prophet had plenty of betting support when running as a $2.50 chance and the money has come again.

With more experience under her belt, she looks ready to win.

Race 4. (14:30) Apiam Animal Health BM70 (3600m)

#1 – Bazini @ $2.05 – Bet @ Ladbrokes

Bazini won at Hamilton three starts back before placing at Bendigo last time out over this distance.

The four-year-old son of Dundeel is never too far away from the prize and having another go at the distance should help.

Punters have confidently backed him and his odds could firm more on race day.

Race 5. (15:00) Avis Bendigo BM64 (1600m)

#4 – Golden Crusader @ $2.70 – Bet @ Ladbrokes

The four-year-old gelding looked impressive when breaking through for his maiden win at Donald last start and he could rise through the grades.

He is a son of Golden Horn, who was having his first run in Australia and he made them look second-rate, so another win could be on the cards.

The $2.70 is a fair price and he could shorten significantly on race day.

Race 7. (16:00) Trevor Kenny Memorial BM64 (1100m)

#11 – Moss Job @ $6.50 – Bet @ Ladbrokes

Moss Job is a four-time winner from 16 starts and the five-year-old drops significantly in weight.

The mare by Moshe gets a valuable 4kg apprentice in the saddle, and despite drawing wide, she has the form on the board this season.

Punters get each-way odds worth snapping up.
