We have expert betting tips for the cards this Thursday at Pakenham and Wyong.

There is plenty of value available with bookmakers at the Thursday meetings and we have our best bets across the cards.

Pakenham

Race 2. (13:30) John Duff & Co Maiden (1200m)

#9 – Magical Slipper @ $3.60 – Bet @ Ladbrokes

Magical Slipper is on debut for the Phillip Stokes stable and she looks ready to fire on Thursday.

The two-year-old daughter of Swear won a jumpout at Pakenham and she looks to have excellent natural speed, which is always a bonus.

Watch for any late betting moves as they should come.

Race 3. (14:00) GG Engineering Maiden (1600m)

#5 – Sir Phoenix @ $3.80 – Bet @ Ladbrokes

Sir Phoenix has yet to win from six starts but it’s only a matter of time before he breaks his duck.

The Matthew Cumani-trained three-year-old finished fifth at Ballarat last start but he’s better than that, so he’s worth sticking with.

Punters get each-way odds and he’s worth backing until he wins.

Race 6. (15:30) Bunyip Equipment BM70 (1200m)

#3 – Blood Oath @ $4.80 – Bet @ Ladbrokes

Blood Oath has yet to win from four starts this preparation but the seven-year-old gets to his favourite course.

The son of Commands owns two wins and a placing from four starts at Pakenham and he’s also a three-time winner at the distance.

The statistics read well and punters get each-way odds worth snapping up.

Race 7. (16:00) Sportsbet Bet with Mates BM70 (2200m)

#2 – Impulsar @ $1.80 – Bet @ Ladbrokes

Impulsar scored back-to-back wins in Ireland and then Sandown before struggling at Caulfield last time out.

The imported son of Frankel was a $4 chance at Caulfield but he failed to make an impression. However, dropping in class helps and he should get back to his winning ways.

Punters have to take short odds but they’re worth snapping up.

Wyong

Race 1. (12:20) The Bellbirds Maiden (1350m)

#3 – Jumeirah Beach @ $3.50 – Bet @ Ladbrokes

Jumeirah Beach has had three trials for three placings and he could make a winning debut for the Waterhouse/Bott stable.

The three-year-old son of Pride of Dubai finished second at Hawkesbury where he showed good barrier speed and that helps on race day.

It could pay to watch if there is any late money for the favourite.

Race 3. (13:35) Accolade Wines Maiden (1600m)

#1 – Adorable Miss @ $2.15 – Bet @ Ladbrokes

Adorable Miss has had her chances to win and she was only fair at Goulburn last start, but we’re giving her one more shot.

The Chris Waller-trained four-year-old showed better speed when running second at Newcastle and anything close to that form could be enough.

We’re not surprised by the betting support for a Waller-trained runner, so get in now before the odds firm further.

Race 6. (15:25) Regnis Refrig & Sons BM64 (1350m)

#15 – Pole Position @ $9 – Bet @ Ladbrokes

Pole Position is getting close to posting another win after running second at Kembla Grange last time out.

The three-year-old son of Astern will need to do work from an outside barrier but he likes to get back in the run and finish strongly.

Punters get value odds and he’s the value runner of the field.

Race 7. (16:05) Wyong Roos Foundation BM68 (1600m)

#3 – Buba @ $4.60 – Bet @ Ladbrokes

Buba is always around the mark and with three placings from three starts at Wyong, she’s knocking on the door.

The Kim Waugh-trained five-year-old won at Newcastle two back and a repeat of that effort sees her winning again.

Getting 3kg off her back is ideal and punters should be confident with the each-way odds.
