Tuesday Horse Racing Tips – July 12th, 2022

We have expert betting tips for the cards this Tuesday at Ballarat and Albury.

There is plenty of value available with bookmakers at the Tuesday meetings and we have our best bets across the cards.

Tried our top rated bookmakers?

Ballarat

Race 2. (13:30) Global Turf Maiden Plate (1000m)

#4 – Far Too Tempting @ $1.95 – Bet @ Ladbrokes

Far Too Tempting has been heavily backed to win after opening at $2.10 and that’s a good sign for a maiden runner.

The four-year-old mare owns four placings from eight starts and she returns following a spell, so she is backed to hit the ground running.

We wouldn’t take much lower than her current price, so lock in the odds.

Race 3. (14:00) Polytrack Maiden (2100m)

#4 – Vanity Star @ $2.50 – Bet @ Ladbrokes

Vanity Star is getting close to a win after two solid efforts this preparation and we fancy his chances.

The three-year-old son of Zoustar didn’t fire fresh up but he was much better last time out at Donald, so that’s a good form guide.

He should be fit and ready to fire as the odds suggest.

Race 5. (15:00) B Paton This Yr Different Maiden (1400m)

#11 – Star in the Mist @ $3.10 – Bet @ Ladbrokes

Star in the Mist should have won by now but she gets an ideal chance to breakthrough on Tuesday.

The three-year-old daughter of Star Witness looked good when notching three consecutive placings, including a second placing at Ballarat.

She didn’t fully enjoy the synthetic surface last start but we’re prepared to give her another shot.

Race 6. (15:30) Hygain Winners Choice BM70 (1400m)

#7 – Spectacle @ $7.50 – Bet @ Ladbrokes

Spectacle needed the run last time out and she’s going to appreciate racing on this surface.

The McEvoy-trained mare didn’t enjoy the heavy surface at Sandown and she has an excellent record over the distance with five starts for two wins and two placings.

Barrier five is ideal and punters get value odds.

Albury

Race 2. (13:40) North Albury Tyre Power C1 (1000m)

#4 – Extreme Prince @ $3.80 – Bet @ Ladbrokes

Extreme Prince comes off a win at Albury and he’s good enough to rise through the grades.

The son of Extreme Choice scored by a length over the short distance and he shouldn’t have much of a problem rising to 1000m.

Getting 2kg off his back helps and he should push forward from an inside draw.

Race 3. (14:15) Vision Screen Printing Maiden (1175m)

#6 – Keppel Bay @ $2.60 – Bet @ Ladbrokes

Keppel Bay is getting close to a win after four placings from five starts and she went close when finishing third on this track last start.

The daughter of Capitalist likes to sit on the pace and show a good kick in the straight, so against this quality of opposition, she could take advantage.

We expect her odds to shorten on race day.

Race 5. (15:35) GPE Electrical & Communication C1 (1600m)

#14 – Stratum Pride @ $2.90 – Bet @ Ladbrokes

The three-year-old filly has figured in the finish in seven of his 13 starts and some of her best form has come on wet tracks.

She is a daughter of Stratum Star who ran third at Randwick two back behind Zadig and Highway Handicap form bodes well at this level.

Dropping to 54kg helps and we’re not surprised by the shortening odds.

Race 6. (16:10) Pogson Cronin Kerr BM58 (1175m)

#2 – Snowbella @ $3.10 – Bet @ Ladbrokes

Snowbella is a course specialist with seven starts for three wins and four second placings at Albury.

The four-year-old mare has been backed in from $4.20 to $3.10, which is a sizable move and she also has a good record over the distance.

Dropping in weight helps and it handles all track conditions.
