We have expert betting tips for the cards this Tuesday at Ballarat and Wyong.
There is plenty of value available with bookmakers at the Tuesday meetings and we have our best bets across the cards.
Tried our top rated bookmakers?
Race 1. (13:00) Veolia Maiden Plate (1200m)
#2 – Palaggio @ $2.15 – Bet @ Ladbrokes
The Maher/Eustace-trained gelding comes off a jumpout win and that could be enough to see him winning on debut.
The two-year-old son of Caravaggio didn’t fire in a trial at Warwick Farm but he was much better at the jumpouts at Ballarat.
The money coming for him is a good sign.
Race 3. (14:00) Interpath 4Cyte Health Maiden (1200m)
#5 – Nicconi Express @ $2.05 – Bet @ Ladbrokes
Nicconi Express kicked off his campaign with back-to-back second placings at Murray Bridge and Morphettville before running sixth at Sandown.
The four-year-old son of Nicconi should be better for the drop in class and not much went his way last start, so punters should forgive that effort.
We expect to see him fighting out the finish.
Race 6. (15:00) Porter Plant BM58 (1500m)
#11 – Birthday Suit @ $4.80 – Bet @ Ladbrokes
Birthday Suit scored an overdue win at Ballarat last start and we like her chances of going back-to-back.
The Mitchell Freedman-trained three-year-old won by 3.5 lengths to break maidens and she clearly likes racing on the synthetic.
Punters get value odds and we’re putting her into calculations.
Race 7. (16:00) Sportsbet Bet with Mates BM58 (1200m)
#5 – Ziavera @ $1.95 – Bet @ Ladbrokes
Another last-start winner is Ziavera, who owns a win and placing from two attempts at Ballarat, so she’s a course specialist.
The five-year-old daughter of Uncle Mo has the experience edge over this field with 21 starts for three wins and eight placings.
Getting the inside draw is ideal and she has plenty of upside.
Race 2. (12:50) Allan Denham Racing Maiden (1600m)
#2 – Regal Pom @ $2.60 – Bet @ Ladbrokes
Regal Pom is getting close to posting a breakthrough win after seven placings from 11 starts and we think his win comes here.
The Annabel Neasham-trained three-year-old comes off a third placing at Hawkesbury and getting 2kg off his back for this run helps.
Most of the money has come for Regal Pom and it’s a good sign.
Race 3. (13:25) Coombs Family Maiden (1350m)
#4 – Roma Avenue @ $2.90 – Bet @ Ladbrokes
Roma Avenue is another runner getting close to breaking through after posting four placings from four starts.
He finished third behind Vientiane at Canterbury last time out and we expect that form to stack up nicely at this level.
Barrier two is ideal and we have big hopes for Roma Avenue to break maidens soon.
Race 5. (14:40) Canadian Club Maiden Handicap (1000m)
#1 – Fire and Ice @ $6.50 – Bet @ Ladbrokes
Fire and Ice took on tough company during his first preparation, including Xtravagant Star and other group types.
The two-year-old colt is better suited to this level of racing and getting the inside draw with Hugh Bowman in the saddle is a bonus.
Punters get value odds at $6.50 and we expect those to firm on race day.
Race 6. (15:20) Wyong R.C Function Centre C1 (1100m)
#1 – Sneaky Paige @ $3.10 – Bet @ Ladbrokes
Sneaky Paige has more ability than most in this field and the Mark Newnham-trained runner should be tough to beat.
The three-year-old filly comes off a tough run at Randwick and he should enjoy racing against this level of opposition.
Carrying a big weight isn’t easy but punters should be confident.
