Race 2. (13:00) Enterprise Stationers Maiden (1600m)
#2 – Choquant @ $3.90 – Bet @ Ladbrokes
Choquant ran second on debut after suffering trouble throughout the race, so he could have easily won.
The Michael Kent-trained three-year-old was 1.5 lengths behind the winner after hitting the line impressively and we expect him to power home again.
Punters get fair odds and the rise in distance does him no harm.
Race 3. (13:30) Minuteman Narre Warren Maiden (1400m)
#6 – Frosty Lass @ $3.60 – Bet @ Ladbrokes
Frosty Lass hasn’t done much wrong in two race day starts for second and she could go one better.
The three-year-old daughter of Frosted had both runs at Ballarat on the synthetic, but she shouldn’t have much problem at Pakenham.
Punters get each-way odds and they’re worth taking.
Race 6. (15:00) Liberty Equipment Hire BM58 (1200m)
#4 – Cos I’m the Boss @ $3.60 – Bet @ Ladbrokes
Cos I’m the Boss needs luck from out wide but the Ellerton-trained mare hasn’t done anything wrong throughout her career.
The four-year-old mare by Street Boss broke maidens at Werribee three back before adding placings at Moe and Echuca.
Barrier 12 isn’t ideal but she has the pace to cross and sit handy.
Race 9. (16:30) Sportsbet Bet with Mates BM58 (1600m)
#1 – Montenegro @ $3.20 – Bet @ Ladbrokes
Looking for three consecutive wins is Montenegro, who won his last two starts at Pakenham.
The three-year-old son of I Am Invincible won by over a length last start and staying at the mile is ideal after his last two wins.
2kg comes off his back to help with the weight and we’re in his camp.
Race 1. (12:30) Civil Construction Hire Maiden (1010m)
#1 – Airliner @ $2.60 – Bet @ Ladbrokes
Airliner is looking to cap off consecutive second placings and he should have benefitted from the time in the paddock.
The three-year-old son of Starcraft has run both career starts at Moruya, so the track experience is ideal and he has been well-backed to win.
Barrier two helps and his odds could continue to firm.
Race 3. (13:40) Civil Construction Hire BM58 (920m)
#6 – Awesome Audrey @ $2.30 – Bet @ Ladbrokes
Awesome Audrey looked good when winning at Moruya on debut and she runs her best races on this track.
The three-year-old filly comes off a fourth at Sapphire Coast and getting the inside draw should give her all favours.
It’s not a hot field and her best form could return.
Race 5. (14:55) Tyre Torque Batemans Bay C1 (1650m)
#7 – Devilish Dude @ $4.20 – Bet @ Ladbrokes
Looking to cap off solid form with a win is Devilish Dude, who finished fifth at Hawkesbury last time out.
The Price-trained son of Brazen Beau owns only one placing from seven starts and carrying 55kg should make the difference.
He hit the line with purpose last start and punters get each-way odds.
Race 7. (15:35) Batemans Bay Trophies Maiden (1300m)
#9 – Lady Redwood @ $5 – Bet @ Ladbrokes
Lady Redwood owns three second placings from eight career starts and it won’t take her long to win.
The four-year-old mare by Redwood ran second at Wyong and Newcastle, which were two terrific efforts.
55.5kg on her back is ideal and the $5 available is a fair price.
