Race 2. (13:00) Stables Plus Maiden Plate (1600m)
#4 – Tatsuro @ $2.70 – Bet @ Ladbrokes
Tatsuro comes off four consecutive placings and the three-year-old is ready to score his maiden victory.
The son of Maurice owns five placings from 15 starts and it’s good to see his recent form improving, so he should be right in the mix.
It’s not a hard maiden field and he could take advantage.
Race 3. (13:30) Trusteel Fabrication Maiden (1400m)
#9 – Native Girl @ $2.20 – Bet @ Ladbrokes
Native Girl was solid when running second at Pakenham last start and it won’t take her long to break maiden grades.
The three-year-old filly has placed twice at the distance and her only bad effort came when running ninth at Flemington behind Willowy.
She’s a nice type and we thought she would be paying around $1.80.
Race 5. (14:30) Superior Food Services BM58 (2200m)
#4 – Italian Poet @ $3.20 – Bet @ Ladbrokes
Italian Poet doesn’t know how to run a bad race, and although only a one-time winner, he has massive upside.
The three-year-old son of Zacinto comes off a tidy second placing at Wangaratta and he gets every chance from barrier three.
We’re happy with the $3.20 available against a moderate field.
Race 7. (15:30) Sportsbet Bet with Mates BM64 (1100m)
#2 – Jabali Ridge @ $5.50 – Bet @ Ladbrokes
Jabali Ridge is better than his record suggests and the four-year-old has been in form throughout the campaign.
The son of Jabali is only a two-time winner but his best form comes over this distance and he placed at his only start at Pakenham.
Only the wide barrier is a concern but we’re happy with the each-way odds available.
Race 2. (12:55) Inverell G Innes Services Maiden (1400m)
#1 – Go Seeking @ $3 – Bet @ Ladbrokes
Go Seeking didn’t fire at his first two starts but he was much better when running second at Gunnedah last start.
The three-year-old son of Sebring enjoyed the rise in distance, so rising to 1400m shouldn’t do his chances any harm.
Barrier four suits and punters get odds worth taking.
Race 4. (14:10) Moree Services Club Maiden (1100m)
#11 – Redeeming Spirit @ $2.15 – Bet @ Ladbrokes
Cody Morgan lines up the three-year-old filly who showed glimpses of impressive form last preparation.
The daughter of I Am Invincible finished fourth at Gold Coast and she has been prepared with a trial placing at Scone.
Her form reads well and punters have come for her in early markets, which is always a good sign.
Race 5. (14:45) Armidale Tamworth BC BM58 (1400m)
#4 – Cassia Lane @ $3.30 – Bet @ Ladbrokes
Cassia Lane has steadily improved this preparation and it shouldn’t take her long to get back to winning form.
The three-year-old daughter of Worthy Cause comes off a second placing at Inverell and her only career win came on a heavy surface.
She looks ready to fire and her opening odds of $4.20 have been snapped up.
Race 7. (15:55) Clubs NSW BM58 (1100m)
#3 – So Country @ $3.30 – Bet @ Ladbrokes
So Country has yet to finish worse than second from five career starts and the son of Shamexpress could go well again.
The Melanie O’Gorman-trained runner scored a win two back at Tamworth before adding a placing last time out.
His recent trial effort came behind a subsequent winner in Per Inaway, so that form stacks up nicely here.
